Steal your Face

(ok, one more Grateful Dead themed cane)

Made for therapeutic use, the handle was made of red oak, the "Steal Your Face" collar was carved of white birch, and the shaft was fashioned of maple.  Also carved on the shaft was a sample of lyrics from "Ripple":

"Ripple in still water, when there is no pebble tossed, nor wind to blow..."

Semper Fi Staff

(carved for my father)

carved basswood topper mounted on a maple shaft.

Gargoyle cane

(a design from my book, Carving Gargoyles and Grotesques)

Made for therapeutic use, the handle was carved of catalpa, and was mounted to a maple shaft.

Timber Rattler

Commissioned for an Army platoon leader. The snake carving itself was a bit larger than life - it was carved of basswood, and attached to a natural maple shaft.

Walk by Faith

Carved from a maple shaft and fitted with a hand-dyed rawhide hand grip.  Scripture was burned in:

"For we walk by faith, not by sight."   2 Corinthians, 5:7
